Comprehensive Ranking System Points Breakdown
There is a total of 1,200 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System.
For candidates without a spouse or common-law partner, following is the points criteria:

a limit of 500 points for core human capital factors

a limit of 100 points for skill transferability factors and

600 points available for extra factors (provincial nomination,LMIA, Canadian study experience, a sibling in Canada, or potentially French language capacity).
For candidiates with a spouse or common law partner, following is the points criteria:

a limit of 460 points for core human capital factors of the main candidate

a limit of 40 points for core human capital factors of the life partner or common-law spouse

a limit of 100 points accessible for skill transferability factors and
-
600 points accessible for extra factors (provincial nomination,LMIA, Canadian study experience, a sibling in Canada, or potentially French language capacity).
June 6, 2017, changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System incorporate extra directs granted toward competitors with French capacity and to up-and-comers with a sibling in Canada.
